Happy Friday Introductions!

Happy Friday my little love monkeys! Was this week good to you? Yeah, I know it was 🙂

Well, yours truly is feeling a bit under the weather. My oh-so-generous kids and the hubs shared their craptastic cold with me. Lucky me. Normally, I’m the one in the house that gets spared said illnesses, but no such luck this time. Suffice it to say that I feel like my brain has been hollowed out and the empty cavity has been replaced with snot and I sound like I’ve had a 5 pack a day smoking habit since I was five.

Oh yeah, I’m the picture of sexy right now.

But enough with my whining, I’ll live, let us move on to what is really important on this Friday, the introduction!

I’d like to continue on with showing the lovely ladies of Cat O’ Nine Tails some love and today I’d like to introduce you to….

Mauralynn “Maura” Sullivan

This, ladies and gents (yes, I have gents!) is Danielle Panabaker. You may recognize her from both television and movies, most recently in The Crazies and the latest rendition of Friday the 13th as well as a couple of Disney films, Sky High and Read It and Weep.

She is the quintessential Maura, sweet, fresh and innocent.  Maura is someone very special to Aeron, our fair piratess.  I would tell you how, but you will just have to read to find out why 😉

As per usual, these photos, and all of the others can be found on my Facebook, link to the right.  You can also follow me on Twitter and on Goodreads!  You can even just subscribe and have this lovely little blog delivered right to your email inbox!  Woohoo, oh the wonders of technology!!

Stay tuned for next Friday and meet yet another cast member.  Yeah, I’m running out of pretty people to show you, but like I said, I figure out something to do for you on Fridays.  Why?  Because I like you.  Holy Mickey Mouse Club moment Batman! LOL!

Have a great weekend my sprinkly love monkeys!  I’m going to be cheering on my oldest child as he heads to the annual ROTC precision drill competition!

Until next time,

Patty ❤

Has Anyone Seen My Butt?

Anyone? Anyone?

Bueller? Bueller?

Seriously though y’all, I ask because I worked my bohonkus off this weekend to get my edits done and to my developmental editor today. That’s right, my turn on this round of edits is done!

Everyone do the wave now WooooooooOOOOoooooOOOooooooOOOo!

Okay, so it was just me and my cat doing the wave here in my family room and she’s 8,000 years old so her participation in the wave was seriously lacking. I think she grunted at me and gave me the evil cat eye when I “woohoo’d” at her. You fellow cat owners know the look I’m talking about, the one that says, “I’m going to kill you in your sleep.”

Anyway, this round is done and my loverly developmental editor and I are hoping to get one more round in before we hand it over to the boss lady, the managing editor.

So, what am I going to do whilst I wait, you ask? Well, I may tweet, I will quite possibly blog about one thing or another, I might even get to work on polishing up my next manuscript. However, I will be around, trying to stay out of trouble and you can find me here or on Facebook or Twitter or Goodreads, all links to the right under that pretty little picture up there of the quill and scroll.

Don’t forget to stay tuned for Friday’s Cat O’ Nine Tails character introduction!

Until next time,

Happy Friday Introdutions: Royal Watch

Happy Friday my darlings! You were good little love monkeys this week, yes? I knew it!

Well, things are going well with the edits, I’m about halfway done with my part despite the crazy insane week I’ve had. However, I generally lead the crazy insane life so no shock there. Let’s face it, I have four kids y’all, that in and of itself makes for the crazy insanity. So I just donned my “Super Duper Gal” cap, complete with bedazzled awesomeness, and buckled down.

Anywhodle, let us move on to why you’re really here, the introduction!

In honor of the impending royal wedding, I thought we could take a peek at a bit of Cat O’ Nine Tails royalty…

Queen Winifred

Now if you’ve been watching the new series Camelot, on Starz, you well undoubtedly recognize Ms. Eva Green as Morgan.  I have to admit that I’d already had another actress in mind for Winifred, but there was something that just wasn’t right about her and I couldn’t put my finger on it.  It was nothing in particular and I’m sure said actress would have worked just fine, however, when I started watching Camelot and saw the captivating Ms. Green I knew then and there that she was my Queen Winifred.  There is something innately regal about her that spoke to me.

Not to mention the last few blogs have been the men of the story, I thought it was time to give the ladies a turn in the spotlight.

Queen Winifred has hired the infamous bounty hunting Walsh brothers to hunt down the woman who has stolen her lover from her.  Sounds pretty simple and straight to the point yes?  Maybe, a little too simple…

As always, my darlings, you can find these pictures and all the others over on my Facebook, link to the right with the links to Twitter and Goodreads, let’s be friends!

Stay tuned for next Friday to meet another character.  So, what am I going to do when I run out of characters?  I don’t know yet, but I’m sure I’ll figure out something 🙂

Have a glorious weekend, my crispy love monkeys, if you are the sort to celebrate Easter, have a happy and safe Easter and I hope the Easter Bunny brings you lots of goodies!

Until next time,

Patty ❤

A Letter to Father Time

Dear Father Time,

Here’s the thing. I have a buttload of things to do and I could really use an extra couple three hours in the day to get all my stuff done and still achieve a decent amount of sleep.

What constitutes a “buttload” you may ask? Well, let’s break it down, shall we? This week alone I have to help two 10yr olds with homework, everyday, plus one of them has an additional book report that is due at the end of the week, with project. On top of THAT said 10yr olds have a Girl Scout event on Saturday in which I must construct not one, but TWO Candyland type costumes. Then, the middle child has an appointment this afternoon so my mommy alone time is getting chopped in half, not to mention said appointment is on the other end of town. And then I have to attend an awards ceremony for the oldest child’s ROTC program. Oh and before I do that I have to make sure the two 10yr olds get their homework done before I go because, as much as I love him, their dad is clueless when it comes to the ways of homework. Then on Thursday I have an IEP for one of my kids, in the middle of the day, which is going to cut into everything I need to do that day. OH! And let us not forget that it is Easter week and I somehow have to fit in Easter basket shopping, egg boiling, coloring and hiding. AND this weekend, on top of the Girl Scout Candyland thing (you know, the one I’m making the costumes for) we are having dinner with my folks on Saturday and the hubs’ folks on Sunday.

So you see, Daddy T. (can I call you Daddy T?) I could really use a few more hours because on top of all of that I’m trying to get my book edits done, make dinner, clean my house and all the other good “Suzy Homemaker” type stuff. As you can imagine, sleep has fallen to the wayside.

Okay, so has the house cleaning, but I digress, I needs me some more time Daddy T! In your infinite mastery of all things time and space, can you do me this solid? I could really use it.

Thank you so very much for your consideration!

Love Always,
Patty ❤

P.S. Could you also talk to that wife of yours, Mother Nature and see if maybe she can pick a climate and stick to it for AT LEAST a week? This heater one day, air conditioner the next day business if for the birds.

Happy Friday Introductions, The Right-Hand Man

Happy Friday my lovelies! I hope this week has been good to you and I KNOW that y’all have been good little love monkeys 😉

I’ve been working my not so little booty off with my current round of edits. But I had to make time to give my darlings a little bit of love and introduce you to another member of our supporting cast!

That’s right, its intorductions time!! Today’s Cat O’ Nine Tails character is our leading lady’s bestie and right-hand man…

Now, if you watch the Spartacus series on Starz you are familiar with Manu Bennett who plays Crixus.  He’s been in many other movies and series, 30 Days of  Night and Xena: Warrior Princess, just to name a few and I chose him because he just looks like one bad mofo, doesn’t he?

Darcy has been with Aeron from the beginning of her pirating career.  He is quite the intimidating individual who has his own “methods” of persuasion that has garnered him a reputation across the seven seas.  But is there more to him than just bad ass pirate?

You’ll have to read Cat O’ Nine Tails to find out 🙂

So there you have it!  As always, you can find the pictures you see here, and all of the others, over at Facebook.  Just clickity click the linkity link over to the right and let us be friends!  Don’t Facebook?  No fear, you can also tweet me, goodreads me or just subscribe to this blog and get email updates!  All links to the right.

Stay tuned, darlings, there will be another introduction next Friday as well.

Have a wonderful weekend, my tasty little love monkeys and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do 😉

Until next time,

Patty ❤

An Editing I Will Go!

Greetings my darlings!

I just had to share with you that I got my first round of edits to go through from my wonderful developmental editor!!

I’m very excited to jump into the document and read her notes and get to work on making the necessary changes! And if I’m being honest, I’m a teensy bit nervous to read her notes as well.

Only a teensy bit though because I do have a very thick skin and I know that anything she has to say can only make this a better book. Also, I try to learn from the notes, thus making me a better writer, so I say win-win!

Anyhoodle, I better get my arse to work! Don’t forget to stay tuned for Friday when I will introduce you to another one of my characters!!

Take care of yourselves, my scrunchy little love monkeys!

Until next time,

Patty ❤

Friday Introductions, Brotherly Love!

Happy Friday, my sweet little love monkeys! Did you all have a good week? Mine was a little bit bonkers with not only all four of my kids off for Spring Break, but the hubs was out-of-town for a few days on business. Oy.

As you can see, I survived. More importantly, so did the children. Granted it looks like a bomb went off in my house, but everyone made it out alive due to the wonders of a Xanax, Ativan and Valium candy necklace with a vodka chaser for mommy.

I kid, I kid!

Mostly 😉

But enough about my parental woes, onto what is REALLY important…today’s introduction!

So, without any further ado, may I introduce the next character from Cat O’ Nine Tails!  A supporting character, our leading man Orrin’s brother….

Kale Walsh

He’s pretty no?

This, ladies and gents, is male model David Gandy.  I found him on the web whilst I was searching for the man behind Orrin (who I still haven’t found yet) and when I saw him I thought to myself, “Self, that right there, is Kale if I ever saw him!”  I believe these are some older photos of Mr. Gandy but this is how Kale is pictured in my wee little mind.

Kale Walsh is Orrin’s younger brother and his first in command.  He’s a fiercely beautiful ladies man that has left a trail of very satisfied women (and very angry husbands) in his wake.  However, he makes no excuses for it.  He’s a scoundrel and he loves every minute of it.

There is more to this supporting character, but you’ll just have to read to book to find out what it is 😉

There you have it, my darling love monkeys!   Again, you can find these photos and all of the others on my Facebook, just clicky the linky to the right.  You can also clicky the linky for Twitter and tweet me or Goodreads and friend me over there!

Stay tuned for next Friday and another introduction!

Have a fantabulous weekend my lovelies, be good little monkeys 🙂

Until next time,

Patty ❤
